Actively enrolled in a Mechanical Engineering, Aeronautical or Aerospace
Engineering, Civil Engineering, Materials Engineering or similarly related
program from an accredited college/university.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Ability to obtain a security clearance
Lockheed Martin: System Engineer Intern
Candidate will participate in engineering tasks supporting a systems engineering team. Working with experienced engineers, will perform work in all systems engineering phases that could include requirements definition, allocation and maintenance. Supports various system analyses in support of mission planning and execution.
This opening supports a variety of Systems Engineering intern positions within Lockheed Martin Space in Sunnyvale, CA. Some of these positions may require security clearances and may be subject to security investigation.
Actively enrolled in a Engineering, Physics, Math or other related degree program from an accredited college/university.
This position requires special access to support the program and requires the selected candidate to be a US Citizen.
SSL (Space Systems Loral) : Mechanical Core Engineer
The Mechanical Engineering Core has opportunities for involvement with the mechanical bus front end design, detailed analysis development, mechanical system test requirements, as well as subassembly qualification and production of high power communications satellites. This is a requisition for summer of 2017 intern positions with involvement in the design, integration, and test of space systems. The Mechanical team will need interns in the following areas:
-Spacecraft sub-assembly design (3-D modeling skills a plus for this role)
-Spacecraft sub-assembly structural analysis (completed courses in statics, dynamics, and finite elements a plus for this role)
-Spacecraft sub-assembly production and test (lean manufacturing skills and hands on fabrication a plus for this role)
2 years or more of college education towards a 4 year BS degree in engineering, math or physics
Strong verbal and written communication, organization and leadership skills are essential
Group project experience, ability to collaborate with team members of different technical disciplines
Proficient in Word, Excel, and Powerpoint or similar suite
Interest in aerospace or mechanical design is preferred
Experience or interest in process improvement techniques is a plus
Process improvement experience a plus

This is a requisition for summer of 2019 intern positions with involvement in the design, integration, and test of space systems. The Spacecraft Systems team will need interns in the following areas
-Spacecraft assembly, integration and test
-Spacecraft design (3-D modeling skills a plus for this role)
-Spacecraft thermal analysis
-Program Systems Engineering
Currently enrolled and completion of two years or more of college education towards a 4 year BS degree in engineering, math or physics.
Ability to work as part of a team of engineers on a project
Interest in Aerospace or Systems engineering is preferred
Experience or interest in process improvement techniques is a plus.
Clear oral and written communication skills in English required. Multi-lingual skills a plus.
Proficient in Word, Excel, and Powerpoint or similar suite.
