The purpose of our student branch is to support the success of San Jose State University's aerospace engineering students. Description:

We are currently seeking talented individuals for our Engineering Internship for our Northridge, CA location. Engineering Interns will be given the opportunity gain hands-on engineering experience while applying theoretical knowledge and engineering techniques learned in the classroom.

Basic Qualifications: 
• Currently pursuing a B.S. M.S. or PhD in aerospace engineering. 
• General understanding of fundamental engineering principles, practices, and theories.

2019 System Test (SVTAD) Summer Intern (CA)

Description:

The Systems Validation, Test, and Analysis Directorate (SVTAD) is the central focus for all integration, verification, validation and test activities within Integrated Defense Systems (IDS). The more than 700 employees of SVTAD provide their expertise to ensure customer success through the design, development and execution of innovative and comprehensive test, verification and validation strategies, processes, tools and techniques. SVTAD employees are involved in all aspects of test including: design-for-test, integration, subsystem, and component level testing through Customer sell-off of IDS' most sophisticated systems and technologies.

Basic Qualifications:

Parts, Materials and Processes (PMP) technical engineering assignment. Participates in the selection, qualification, testing, and failure analysis of electronic, electrical, electromechanical (EEE) and mechanical devices/parts. Will engage in engineering configuration control, standardization, and reviewing and evaluating EEE parts documentation such as procurement specifications and test data. Successful candidate may perform a variety of duties for the PMP Standardization group; Assignments will include Research, Validation and Maintenance of data in the relevant databases and design tools for PMP commodities and specifications used on engineering drawings; address technical evaluation of manufacturing and Parts issues/concerns; Point of Contact (POC) with Design Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Engineering, and Procurement in resolving part issues; creating and revising internal standard operating procedures for the group, technical evaluation of manufacturing issues/concerns. Additional duties may include creation/review, coordination and revision of LMSpace Parts, Materials, and Process specifications.

This position may support multiple programs and customers (including commercial communications, solar system exploration and national defense).

The candidate will troubleshoot problems and find innovative solutions. 

This position requires access to Export Controlled Information and the ability to obtain a security clearance. US Citizenship is required.

Basic Qualifications:
Enrolled in an accredited college in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Engineering Physics, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related background, or field of study. 

Formal coursework, training, and/or experience in the design, analysis, and/or construction of electrical components and circuits. 

Works well in a team environment.

Strong writing, presentation, communication and interpersonal skills.

Apollo AI provides Real-Time Perception Solutions for Autonomous Driving and is currently focusing on mapping and object processing using LiDAR.
